Senior Reservoir Engineer – Low Carbon Consulting

Our client specialising in providing Engineering, Architecture and Construction services for their clients are in need to hire a Senior Reservoir Engineer to join their subsurface team in the UK.

You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of reservoir engineering projects. These span hydrocarbon exploration and production, geological storage of natural gas, CO2 and hydrogen, and geothermal energy solutions. Your expertise will help drive innovation and sustainable energy development.

Roles/Responsibility

  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical reservoir engineering skills in projects spanning hydrocarbon production, natural gas, CO2 and hydrogen storage, and geothermal energy.
  • Project Delivery: Contribute to high quality project deliverables. Actively engage in peer review process and undertake quality assurance of own and more junior team members’ work.
  • Business development: Support business development activities, join discussion of potential projects with clients, support the delivery of project proposals, contribute to development of work plans.
  • Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualification/Experience

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in utilizing standard reservoir engineering tools and software for reservoir appraisal and development, developing expertise in at least one area.
  • Analytical Skills: Developing ability to analyse, interpret, and integrate subsurface data to support subsurface engineering studies of at least one type (e.g. appraisal and development, enhanced recovery, resource evaluation, due diligence, etc.) for a range of applications.
  • Collaborative Approach: Experience working closely with other subsurface professionals, (geophysicists, geologists, petrophysicists, reservoir engineers etc.) to create validated and integrated reservoir models.
  • Communication Skills: Well developed oral and written communication skills, able to convey results of analyses to other members of the team and to client organisations in a variety of formats.
  • Consultancy Experience: Experience within an energy consultancy environment is preferrable.
  • Professional Growth: Demonstrated commitment to continuous personal and professional development, with professional memberships actively supported.
